On August 21, 2026, in Da Nang, the workshop “IPS e.max Ceram Art – The Art of Personalizing Modern Esthetic Restorations” was held in collaboration with Medent and Ivoclar, bringing together Dental Technicians with a strong interest in esthetic restorative dentistry.
A special highlight of the workshop was the participation of DT. Thanh Cao, Founder of HT Dental ART, as the speaker, sharing practical experience in the application of materials and techniques for personalized esthetic restorations.
In modern esthetic dentistry, accurately reproducing the morphology of a restoration is only the first step. The ability to control color, translucency, optical effects, texture, and individual characteristics plays an essential role in achieving a natural and harmonious result within the overall smile.
With this approach in mind, the workshop combined theoretical knowledge with hands-on practice, giving Dental Technicians the opportunity to work directly with the IPS e.max Ceram Art system and explore different approaches to creating lifelike color effects on restorations.
The program focused on highly practical techniques, including 3D Stain, which helps create color depth and optical effects; Structure Paste for developing surface texture and reproducing natural morphological characteristics; and the One-Shot Technique, supporting a more efficient and consistent restoration finishing workflow.
Through DT. Thanh Cao’s presentation and hands-on demonstration, participants gained not only a deeper understanding of the material’s characteristics but also a broader perspective on how to observe, analyze, and translate the natural characteristics of real teeth into intentional details within a restoration.
The workshop also provided an opportunity for Dental Technicians to exchange practical experiences, discuss real-world laboratory cases, and stay updated on current approaches to personalized esthetic restorations.
The combination of materials, techniques, esthetic thinking, and practical experience forms an essential foundation for creating restorations that not only meet technical requirements but also pursue natural beauty and an individual character for each case.
